#78 RT Keith Van Horne
Livin' Sports is all about the great experiences the World of Sports brings to one's Life. However, show #8 centers around the tragic death of former Chicago Bear Dave Duerson. The news of his suicide shocked the Bear Nation, but what can we learn from his actions. Jeff & I welcomed in Keith Van Horne, former right tackle for the Bears who played with Dave on the '85 Super Bowl World Championship Team. We all had a hard time trying to figure out why Dave Duerson, who was so full of Life and Ambition, would end his Life at the young age of 50.

Duerson's body was found Thursday February 24th at his home in Sunny Isles Beach, Fla. He died from a gunshot wound to the chest. Duerson's family has agreed to donate his brain to Boston University's medical school for its study of chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE, the degenerative disease that has been linked to depression, dementia and occasionally suicide in former players, according to The New York Times.
